Lifespan Development Psychology Paper TopicsLifespan development is a term coined by Dr. Richard G. Schwartz, M.D., R.Ph., to describe the developmental stages in life that will encompass different stages in the psychological, physical, social and personal development of individuals. There are five lifespan stages: child, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age, and old age.
It has been found that young adults are often preoccupied with financial concerns that prevent them from focusing on their dreams. If this continues for years, it could be a precursor to issues like depression and substance abuse. Unfortunately, as we age, many people are just stuck in the same rut. The original stages of life have now been simplified into five stages, which define different phases of life. These stages include a time frame from birth to thirty years old. Age groups are normally divided into two groups: primary or early adulthood and secondary or middle adulthood. The primary group includes young adults up to the age of thirty, whereas the middle group includes the sixty- and seventy-five-year-olds. The second stage group includes adults that are fifty and over. Adolescence and the middle stage of life can both be lumped together as part of adolescence. In general, people experiencing these two phases of life will have a very bad level of self-esteem, regardless of whether they were raised in a nurturing family environment or if they experienced traumatic events during their early childhoods. When it comes to the academic achievers, there are three stages in life: early childhood, high school, and college. The stage we all know as childhood is called 'childhood development.' At this stage, children are generally playful and happy, and also develop social skills, understanding and judgment. High school is the next stage and students will typically spend their summer break doing various activities. During the third and final stage of life, students begin to earn a four-year degree or a certificate. This article attempts to explain the five stages of life through the perspective of an individual's own mental and physical health. If you are struggling with your life's journey, it might be best to talk to a health care professional to discuss the options you have available to you.
